Reach out to your contacts from Day One

  • How to create a new email template. This time saver will be your starting point for just about every email you send.
  • How to customize emails with merge fields. The point of automation is for it not to feel automated. Merge fields allow you to personalize your messaging for each contact.
  • How to style emails. To get started, you want to strike a balance between getting an email out the door and professional looking. Fortunately, Infusionsoft’s drag and drop email builder allows you to do both.
  • How to add clickable and trackable links to emails. This is where Infusionsoft starts to move beyond basic email platforms. Link clicks can be tracked, tagged and automation fired from them. Powerful!
  • How to give readers a link to the hosted version of your email. Publish links on social media and elsewhere using the hosted version to leverage your email broadcasts further. This is great for email newsletters, for example.
  • How to add your logo to an email. Consistent branding helps make you memorable and portrays a professional image. A simple logo snippet will add your logo in a matter of seconds.

  • How to clone an email template. Why recreate the wheel. Do you have a previous email that would make a good starting point. Then clone it and jump off from there.
  • How to create an email  broadcast. Email marketing is still the most effective way to communicate with your prospects and customers. So this is probably one of the first things you are going to want to do. 
  • How to create the recipient list for an email broadcast. The number of ways you can slice and dice your contact list in Infusionsoft is only limited by your imagination.
  • Throttling and You – What you should know about your first email broadcast. To protect its sender reputation, Infusionsoft will send your first email broadcast in batches. We give you the lowdown on how and why.
  • Email list housekeeping. More and more, deliverability doesn’t just depend on the email service providers reputation. Google has started tracking engagement with your emails and uses it to determine where to put them in their user’s inbox. People who don’t open and click can hurt you. So keeping your list tidy is a new priority.

Module #3 – Campaign Builder

  • What is Campaign Builder? We start at the high level so you can understand what it is and what it does before jumping into the how-tos. 
  •   Campaign Builder Terminology. We explain all the terminology up front so you don’t get lost. 
  • August 2015 Campaign Builder changes. Infusionsoft has been streamlining Campaign Builder to make it a little less confusing for new users. 
  • How to move around the canvas. The canvas is where you lay out your campaigns. We’ll get you moving around it in no time flat.
  • How to move items around on the canvas. Campaign Builder was meant to be a way to visualize your business processes before you configure them. So, you’ll want to get everything out on the canvas and drag them around until you’re satisfied with the flow.
  • How to duplicate items in a campaign. Many times it is faster to duplicate something already on the canvas than to start from scratch.
  • Campaign Logic. Now that you know how to drag things around to visualize your business processes, you’ll need to know what happens when you start connecting them to create automated campaigns. This is the secret sauce, right here!
  • Introduction to Goals. Goals are one of the core building blocks in your campaigns. And they probably aren’t anything you’ve seen before. So, we’ll take a little time to make sure you understand how they work.
  • How to configure a web form goal. Web forms are a workhorse. You’ll use them again and again to add and update contacts. We’ll show you all the tricks.
  • How to configure a tag goal. Don’t know what a tag goal is, yet? No worries. Whether you are a new user or this is not your first rodeo, we’ll get you comfortable with the 20% of Campaign Builder that gets you 80% of the result. Tag goals are part of that 20%.
  • How to configure a tag snippet. Snippets perform actions in Campaign Builder. This one applies and removes tags to a contact automatically. You can’t believe all the ways this is going to come in handy.
  • How to use a delay timer. In Campaign Builder, you control when each action happens. For example, you may want to send a series of emails with the first one going right away, the second a day later and the third three days after that. Delay timers do that.
  • How to create a decision diamond. Decision diamonds allow contacts to go down different paths in your campaign depending on actions they take and what we know about them. This makes autoresponders look like the dark ages.
  • How to configure a decision diamond. You’ll decide the rules for each path in your campaign. As you break your contact into different branches of the campaign, this allows you to make your messages highly relevant and targeted.

Module #4 – Reports & Search

Keep tabs on your business right from Infusionsoft

  • Intro to reports. OK. Let’s be honest. Reporting isn’t Infusionsoft’s strong suit. Hopefully they will fix that soon. But you still need to know where they are and how they are organized.
  • How to run a report. Get updated data each time a report is run.
  • How to save reports. Don’t waste time re-configuring the same report over and over. If you use it more than once, save it.
  • How to run actions on a group of records. Turns out you can do more with reports than just read them!
  • Report Options. Did you know you can schedule saved reports to be sent to you via email automatically? Most people don’t. That’s why you need this course.
  • How to retrieve saved reports. Once you save a report you use a lot, you can go straight to it and the data will be updated. We’ll also show you how to save them in your Favorites. What???
  • How to export a report to Excel. This is sadly more necessary than it should be.
