8 Cool Facts About Facebook Retargeting (You Must Know)
Facebook Retargeting is quite a hot topic these days. Do you know why?
I found this great infographic, 8 Cool Facts About Facebook Retargeting (You Must Know) which nicely sums up the reason remarketing has so much sizzle these days.
But, in a nutshell, it comes down to these key facts …
Only 2% of first-time website visitors are ready to buy
So what about the other 98%? You spent a good deal of time and effort to drive that traffic.
Well, that is where remarketing comes in. Here are some more key facts:
Visitors who are retargeted are 70% more likely to convert
Retargeting improves the performance of other channels by about 70%
$1 spent on retargeting is bringing $10 back with it
Looking at the facts, it is easy to see why Facebook Retargeting, which is the top performing retargeting platform, is getting an ever-increasing share of advertisers budget.
Of course, one thing to be aware of, as we get farther and farther along the adoption curve, as we are with simple website retargeting, the search for the next big thing to produce outsized returns intensifies.
While Facebook Retargeting may be in the Early Majority stage (and quickly heading toward Late Adopters if these numbers hold true), CRM retargeting is still in the Early Adopter phase, which presents an opportunity for you and I.
CRM Retargeting relies on the voluminous amounts of data we have stored outside of the browser. Instead of relying on cookies to retarget, we create segmented lists, using data stored in our CRM systems, to target people in a more relevant and personalized way.
The concept of segmenting to increase conversions is not a new concept. It’s been around for donkey’s years. But the application of CRM data to show retargeted ads is.
I am betting that this is where the next big opportunity for easy return lies. What do you think? Let’s discuss in the comment section below.
